Youth Ministry Update – February 2021
While most aspects of our lives continue virtually, in the comfort of our own homes and behind our own screens, the youth of Third Presbyterian Church have regular opportunities to gather online in interest-based clubs on a variety of topics including LGBTQ+ issues, the college search process, crafts, and drama. (Once it is safe to gather again in person, Youth Handbell Choir rehearsals will also resume!)
A new addition this semester is a weekly online tutoring session for students in grades 6-12 to get additional support in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) subjects. This effort is led by Bruce Peachey, who recently retired from a 22-year career teaching high school physics, and is assisted by other members with advanced training in the sciences.
Please see the document below to learn more about the activities offered during the winter months. To sign up for particular activities, please contact Becka Fergusson-Lutz, Interim Coordinator of Youth Ministry.
