. . . The Presbytery of Genesee Valley’s Fall Youth Retreat, to be held Saturday, October 9 at Camp Whitman.
This day-long mini-retreat will be a community-building opportunity for youth in grades 6-12 from the Presbytery of Genesee Valley and beyond. We’re inviting anyone who is Presbyterian, Presbyterian-adjacent, loosely Presbyterian-affiliated, and non-denominational folks who share our commitment to being open and affirming.
Becka, as one of the co-registrars for our presbytery’s delegation to Triennium 2022, has a goal of building up a regional community of youth in the run-up to that national conference. Over this academic year, the presbytery will host quarterly gatherings for any interested youth—even if they have no interest in attending Triennium in Indianapolis next summer.
The full schedule for October 9 is in the works with plans to incorporate service work, workshops on faith and spirituality, and games. (And because it’s at Camp Whitman, you can expect to eat pizza, get dirty, run around, and shout silly songs, not to mention an informal worship service around a campfire!)
. . . and Triennium 2022!
This national conference of Presbyterian youth, held every three years, will be in Indianapolis, Indiana, from July 24 to 27, 2022. All of Third Church’s high-schoolers should plan to attend! Becka, as one of the co-registrars for our presbytery’s delegation to Triennium, will provide more detailed information as it becomes available. Click here to see the brochure.
