Hand Crafted ~ From The Old Bell Tower

Raffle Items

The items to be raffled include beautiful wooden Pens and bottle stoppers hand-crafted by choir member, Gregg Miller. The items are made from wooden beams of the old bell tower frame, which was in service for 90 years. The trees from which the wood came were well over 50 years old, so the cumulative age of the wood is 150+ years.

This wood became available when the bell tower was renovated in the spring of 2018. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany each piece, certifying the wood’s historical significance.

Additional items may become available. All items can be viewed at the event.

Raffle Tickets at the Door

Raffle Tickets will be sold at the door on September 29th for $1 per ticket or $9 for 10 tickets. You will have the chance to view items to be raffled off and place your ticket(s) in the drawing for specific items.

Winners will be announced during the Reception, September 29 between 6:45 and 7:20pm.

A Remarkable Collection

Robert Bright was a member of Third Presbyterian Church. In 2013, when he downsized his home he donated a number of pictures to the Third Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir to be used for fundraising. When he died in January of 2015, his family kindly donated a few more pictures to the collection.

We are at last making use of this remarkable gift by offering Bob Bright’s collection of pictures for sale in a Silent Auction that will run from September 9 to 29th. The pictures will be hung in the Church Gallery, and bidding will take place in the gallery. The Auction will end on September 29th at a Reception and Gala Performance that evening from 6:30-9:00pm presented by the Chancel Choir and Friends.

Robert Bright was a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon in Rochester who received several honors for his research. He loved music and was himself an accomplished musician. We are grateful to him and his family for their generous donation.
