We are concluding our sermon series comparing Rome to Rochester—or at least looking at the lessons we can learn from Paul’s letter to the Romans—on September 6. For the remainder of the month, Pastor Z will focus on our church theme for the year, Renewing Church for a New World. We don’t live in an entirely new world, but as we have said over the last several months, We’ve never done church this way before! So, we want to accentuate the good stuff while recognizing that we must creative and nimble in addressing a once-a-century (we hope!) societal reality, along with all the other ways our world is changing, for good and ill. We will be grabbing all the silver threads we can in our effort to weave the tapestry that will color the next chapter in the life of Third Presbyterian Church.
