Jim is serving as the Interim Property Manager and leader of the Property Management Team, which includes the sextons and property committee. The role of the Property Management Team is to ensure the readiness, integrity, safety and security of the building and grounds of the church for the benefit of all. Currently Jim serves on the Board of Trustees, is an usher, and is a regular volunteer for our RAIHN rotations. Other recent involvement includes several roles for YOUth at Third, including chair of the youth ministry implementation team and youth committee and serving as an advisor on mission trips and retreats. He and his wife Kris have been members of Third Presbyterian for over 20 years, were married here, and raised both of their children in the church.
Jim enjoyed a long career in research, process development, and process engineering in the biotechnology and medical diagnostic industries, and is happy to leverage his experience in reliability improvement, manufacturing, and engineering management to address the physical needs of Third Presbyterian’s significant campus. He holds BS and MS degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan, played in the Michigan Marching Band and is an ardent Wolverine.
