Alden Wright is our Assistant Organist, as well as an undergraduate at the Eastman School of Music, pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in the studio of Nathan Laube. He is a native of Salisbury, North Carolina, where he studied organ with Phillip Burgess and piano with Diane Freeman. At Eastman, Alden has also studied improvisation and harpsichord with Edoardo Bellotti, keyboard technique with William Porter, and sacred music with Stephen Kennedy. He has won multiple prizes and scholarships, and has already been an active recitalist around the country. He has served as music director and organist at Milford Hills United Methodist Church in Salisbury, and for the past two years was a VanDelinder Fellow (music intern) at Christ Church Episcopal in downtown Rochester. Aside from music, Alden enjoys nature and outdoor activities such as hiking and running, as well as traveling and history.
