“Solving Poverty in Rochester: Universal Basic Income?”

Interfaith IMPACT of NYS, Rochester Chapter (IINYS, Rochester), is pleased to invite you to attend our Annual Legislative Briefing on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., virtually in the comfort of your home.

“Solving Poverty in Rochester: Universal Basic Income?” is the title of our program this year. Poverty is a critical issue facing too many in the City of Rochester. There is a proposal for a pilot UBI program here in Rochester. Our IINYS, Rochester program will feature Rochester City Mayor Malik Evans followed by a panel presentation. The participants are: Rev. Dr. Richard Gilbert, Minister Emeritus of First Unitarian Church; Joel Elliot, Director of Development & Communications, St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center Inc.; Amit Batabyal, Professor of Economics at RIT; and Rev. Matthew Martin Nickoloff, South Wedge Mission.   Each speaker will have time for their prepared remarks followed by a Q & A.
