We actively partner with ROC SALT Center, a mission of the Presbytery of Genesee Valley, located in Rochester’s vibrant and eclectic South Wedge neighborhood. At ROC SALT (Rochester Serving and Learning Together), gathering in community lies at the heart of everything that happens. You can participate in ROC SALT happenings in a number of different ways.
- The Mission Immersion Experience hosts teams of people who want experience an integrated exploration of hands-on mission combined with times for reflection, experiential learning, worship, and fellowship. You can bring a team for a mission/service opportunity, or you can volunteer with the program.
- The South Wedge Food Program serves those in our community who are hungry. You can volunteer in the emergency food cupboard, the community garden, or donate food. And if you need food, you can come here to get some.
- Community events of all types happen in the beautiful historic sanctuary and/or chapel.
- Open Arms Metropolitan Community Church is an inclusive and affirming congregation that worships in the historic sanctuary, and is a vital partner with all of ROC SALT’s mission initiatives.
