Our Food Cupboard, based on Jesus’ call in Matthew 25 to feed the hungry, operates on Thursday mornings from 9:15 a.m. until 11:45. Using the “shopping method”, we invite guests in and allow them to pick the foods they need.

- Where: Third Presbyterian Church Celebration Center (signs posted on Meigs St.)
- Details: We serve individuals and families
- Frequency: Guests may receive groceries weekly (identification needed each visit)
Want to help serve in the Food Cupboard?
Volunteer
- Thursdays– 8 volunteers arrive before 8:45am, greet clients and assist them shopping at the various food tables until 11:45am.
- Tuesdays– 5 – 7 volunteers arrive at 1:00 p. m. and help by stocking the shelves and setting up for Thursday morning.
- Substitutes– Many substitutes are vital to support our volunteers

You may place the following donations in the bins located near entrances to the church office, sanctuary, and chapel.
- canned chicken or tuna
- peanut butter
- cereal
- dry pasta
- pasta sauce
- canned fruits and vegetables
- soups – any variety
- toilet paper and wrapped bar soap
- cash or checks made out to “Third Presbyterian Church Food Cupboard”

You do not need proof of address. We serve all of Monroe County.
What ID do I need?
Please provide a picture ID.
How often may I visit your Food Cupboard?
Clients can come every week.
By Volunteers
How often would I volunteer?
Monday and Thursday volunteers work once per month.
Sunday stockers work about 2 times every 3 months.
Tuesday stockers work about once every month.
What training will I receive?
All new volunteers receive an overview of Food Cupboard and Foodlink, witha thorough orientation and training.
Can I visit the Food Cupboard on Thurs or other days to see what is required?
