November 2020 Preaching Schedule
We wrap up Liturgical Year A this month and transition to Year B by its end. Gospel-wise, Year A focuses on Matthew’s record. I’ll bet you can guess the following. Correct: Year B relies on Mark’s shorter recounting of Jesus’ story. Mark’s record, which surmises Peter to be the primary source, is the most succinct. Most of its verses find their way into Matthew and Luke as well. Not so much into John.
Some regular and usual themes and commemorations show up during this month. However, nothing remains quite the same. We look forward to continuing the process of Renewing Church for a New World. Join in and help us figure out what that means as the new liturgical year begins.
