You are your children’s primary faith educators, but it’s not easy to do it alone. Third Church’s Children’s Ministry aims to support your family in nurturing a strong faith life in your children. The church makes a baptismal promise to help children to know and follow Christ, and strives to fulfill that promise, with love, in every interaction.
Sunday School (age 3 to 6th grade)
Sundays 11:00am - 12:00pm
Sunday School meets during the message, allowing children to be present for the first part of worship.
We use the Presbyterian curriculum “Growing in Grace and Gratitude,” which centers around stories from the Old and New Testaments. Children enrolled in Sunday School have opportunities to be in worship including rotating into the Sanctuary to sit at the Children’s Worship Table every 4-6 weeks, and being present in worship for the Sacrament of Communion three times each year.
Sunday 8:15am - 12:00pm
A professionally staffed nursery that provides child care on Sunday mornings from 8:15am until 12:00pm, allowing parents to attend worship and spiritual formation events.
Toddler Story and Song
A free class focusing on faith-based songs and storybooks for children ages 18 months to four years and their caregivers. There are five 4-6 week sessions throughout the year. Check the church calendar for next session dates.
