Third Church’s Food Cupboard has carried on safely, albeit differently, during this challenging time thanks to Jim Pochodylo, Otto Muller-Girard Jr, the sextons, and the work of volunteers recruited by Ann McMican and Carol Coons, as well as the faithful donations of food, personal toiletries, and funds from our congregation. Those funds enable our storeroom manager, Scott Ramsay, to purchase whole grain bread, fruits, vegetables, yogurt, and cases of other food staples that our partner and supplier Foodlink is completely out of. We acknowledge and thank Gale Myers for administering the People’s Emergency Fund concurrently with Food Cupboard for many years, and we are grateful for her well-earned retirement from the role.
The Food Cupboard program will continue to adapt as our guests’ needs and public health recommendations change.
