Join beloved lecturer Anne Merideth for a seminar series examining the concept of race in the Bible. In three sessions, Merideth will explore questions like:
“How did the ancient Israelites conceptualize race and ethnicity?”
“How does the theological logic of race transform over the course of the Bible when we compare earlier and later texts?”
“Did the emergence of the Jesus movement and development of Christianity change ancient theories of race?”
Anne Merideth, PhD, is the Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Religion and Classics at the University of Rochester.
