Save Me a Place at Forest Lawn: a performance to benefit the Susan A. Cowell Fund
June 25, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
$10
Join Third Church in welcoming the one-act play Save Me a Place at Forest Lawn, to be performed in our sanctuary. Proceeds from this production, first produced in Rochester in 1980, will benefit the Susan A. Cowell Scholarship Fund, which annually recognizes high school students who seek to positively impact the LGBTQ community. Tickets available here. Donations of $10 or more are requested.
Sue Cowell was an early organizer in the LGBTQ community who co-founded AIDS Rochester, now Trillium Health. Ms Cowell also served as the first upstate NY co-chair of Empire State Pride Agenda, the organization which provided significant leadership in the fight to secure marriage equality for LGBT New Yorkers. Ms Cowell’s spouse, Marta Maletzke, will attend this performance!
