Level 1: Intro (Wednesday Class) – Fall 2024 Enneagram Class

“This fall, Third Church will again offer three levels of classes on The Enneagram of Personality. The Enneagram is an archetypal symbol and also a body of ancient spiritual wisdom, combined with modern psychology. There will be three levels of classes.

Level One is a systematic introduction or review of the basic information. It includes a bit of history, plus the qualities of the nine types and the three primary instincts. The goal of this class is that each student becomes comfortable and confident in their own enneagram type, which includes understanding the gifts and challenges inherent in that type. In this class we also begin to practice a skill called “inquiry.” This is a skill necessary for the inner journey and involves the heart and the gut as our intelligence centers, as well as the brain.

You will need a book for this class. It is The Wisdom of the Enneagram by Don Rio and Rus Hudson. It is easily available. Many people, including me, choose to take this class several times. The information is rich and in the beginning may seem overwhelming, until pieces of the puzzle begin to fit together.”
