2025 Hymn Hysteria – Second Round Deadline

You’ve heard of March Madness. Now we bring you Hymn Hysteria! For the next four weeks, your votes will narrow this bracket of sixteen beloved hymns to one winner, to be revealed in a special worship service on May 18.

Hymn Hysteria is a fundraiser to support our general operating fund. You’ll vote with your dollars! One dollar equals one vote, and your number of votes is limited only by your willingness to give. (You could, for example, give $100 for one hymn and $50 for another in the same week). You can vote in all brackets each week, or select only the ones that speak to you.

The winner of each first round matchup will proceed to the second round (for example, either “A Mighty Fortress” or “Holy, Holy, Holy” will move into the top slot in round two), and the same process will repeat into the semi-final and final rounds.

Voting in the first round begins Thursday, March 20 and ends Wednesday, March 26. The second round match ups will be revealed on Thursday, March 27 and voting on that round will continue until the following Wednesday. The pattern will repeat until Wednesday, April 23. The winning hymn will remain a secret until May 18, when the morning’s worship service will be designed around it.
