Seeking your Input: What is next for Family Faith Formation?

The Children’s Ministry Committee is interested in hearing about your experiences with faith formation (both before and during the pandemic) and how we can best support your family in faith formation and education moving forward. Please know that you can ALWAYS be directly in touch with James or Becky with questions, concerns, suggestions or feedback.

In addition, we are dedicating two of our upcoming Thursday evening 9:00pm “Parent Chat” gatherings to conversation around this topic. Put the kids to bed and log on to Google meet on May 6 at 9:00pm!

Lastly, we will be distributing a survey for families to share written feedback to help us craft plans for a post-COVID future. The Children’s Ministry Committee is always looking for folks who would like to partner with us in our mission of connecting and resourcing the families of Third Church. If you’d like to join us, contact Director of Faith Formation Becky D’Angelo-Veitch. At present, we meet virtually at 7:00pm on the third Thursday of each month.

Singing and Shouting for Joy

We are incredibly excited, after such a long time of being apart, to offer an in-person camp this summer for children who have completed 1st through 5th grades, with a concurrent program geared for younger children (age 3 and older who are fully potty-trained). The camp will feature sessions with Becky D’Angelo-Veitch and James Kealey exploring faith and music, and a preschool component with familiar Third Church volunteers. The camp will run 9:30am-noon from Tuesday, July 6 to Thursday, July 8. There is a $15 cost per child, with a $25 maximum cost per family. Scholarships are available to enable all to join us.
