We think of the three great feast days in the church year, Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost, as days when they really constitute seasons. Which is a very good thing as it allows us to stretch the great celebrations way beyond one seventy-five-minute worship service. Thus, we will extend our Easter party through mid-May.

We look forward to, but cannot yet promise, the resurrection of some of our much-loved and valued practices in church life. Or at least they will come into a little clearer vision by May. We have been saying that it feels as though we have been trapped in Lent for more than a year. What a marvelous sense of new life will come our way as our Easter season unfolds with hope for our future.
