11th Annual Witness Palestine Film Festival
Learn about happenings in Israel-Palestine by attending any or all of the four films at the 11th Annual Witness Palestine Film Festival, hosted at the Little Theater on October 22, 23, 29, and 30. A Q&A with filmmakers will follow each screening. Tickets are $9 ($7 seniors). This year the films will be shown in the traditional in-person format. Masks are not required for the first time in many years.
The four films—The Blue Box (2021 Documentary), Huda’s Salon (2021), The Journey of the Others (2019 Documentary), and Boycott (2021 Documentary)—offer a variety of perspectives about the history, the struggle, the inspiring resilience of the Palestinian indigenous people and their cries for justice. In addition to the four films, two bonus shorts will be shown. We Never Left Palestine will be shown at all four main feature films, and Siri Miri will be shown at the October 29 showing of The Journey of the Others. For those needing another venue or other dates, Boycott will be shown at St John Fisher College on Wednesday, November 2 at 6:30 pm, Basil Hall, Room 135. More details about each film can be found on the Witness Palestine Film Festival website: www.wpff.us
