Outreach/Service More Light Third Church is committed to the full participation of all persons in our church community without regard for sexual orientation, personal background, or human condition. Our More Light Committee works on ways to make all of us more aware of the contributions Presbyterian lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons are making and could make to further God's Commonwealth.

July 8	Gay Pride Parade, Park Avenue, 4:00 PM line-up. March with fellow Third Church members!
July 9	Post-GA Adult Faith program, 9:00 AM
July 9	Gay Pride Interfaith Worship Service, Genesee Valley Park, 11:30 AM
July 9	34th Annual Rochester Pride Picnic, Genesee Valley Park, 1-7 PM
July 11	Pride Festival movie night at Third Church, 7:00 PM: "Call Me Malcolm", co-sponsored with Rochester Transgender Group
July 23	Happy Bunch road trip to Chautauqua Institute, 7:30 AM. Meet to car pool. Bring picnic lunch. Arrive in time to hear Rev Barbara Brown Taylor, noted Episcopal priest, preach. Eat supper on the way home to Rochester.
July 24	More Light Committee Meeting, offsite, 7:30 PM
August 5-6	Park Avenue Festival
August 6	Adult Faith program, 9:00 AM Overview of Jack Rogers' best-seller: "Jesus, the Bible, and Homosexuality: Explode the Myths, Heal the Church"
August 20	Happy Bunch road trip to Chautauqua Institute, 7:30 AM. Meet to car pool. Bring picnic lunch. Arrive in time to hear Rev Peter Gomes, noted African American pastor at Harvard University, preach. Eat supper on the way home to Rochester.
August 28	More Light Committee Meeting, offsite, 7:30 PM
Sept 9	Happy Bunch and City South Parish Picnic at Van and Ralph's! 3 PM to 7PM. Bring dish to pass. We'll play bocce and have fun.
