Fourth Trip Completed
Members of our fourth relief trip to the Gulf Coast again stayed at the First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans, a Presbyterian
Disaster Assistance site. While in New Orleans, our team worked alongside members
from Wildwood Presbyterian church as we all reconstructed the home of Dora Parks in the Upper Ninth
Ward. Dora's home had been severely damaged by Katrina. Our group also worked on
the home of Brenda Poche. Brenda's home was one of those we visited during the first
relief trip.
By the time our team left, we were able to celebrate with both homeowners: Brenda
was able to finally move back into her home, and Dora was able to see significant
progress towards the day she will move back in for good!
