Junior Choir Camp
Camp Cory
August 20 - 24, 2001
27 children from the Junior Choir and 10 youth spent four exciting days at Camp Cory on Keuka Lake. The children from our church joined with 5 other area churches to enjoy a choir camp experience which included rehearsals, various music classes and recreational activities.
Along with singing together, the children learned about handbells, African Drumming, World Songs, recorder, drama and Orff percussion. Each day the children attended and led Morning and Evening Prayer services.
Fun activities included soccer, kickball, volleyball, Capture the Flag, campfire, swimming, fishing, water balloons, and more.
The youth served as counselors for the children and assisted with all camp activities. The camp experience is valuable in building musical excellence, spiritual growth and a sense of community and friendship in the choir.
