Chapel Concert by Candlelight

Thursday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m.

The Erie Saxaphone Quartet From standard composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach to more recent composers such as Krzysztof Penderecki, this program spans a broad range of styles and time periods. Other works on the program include a theme and variations by the Russian romantic composer Alexander Glasunow and a rollicking rondo by Hungarian composer Zdenek Lukas. The program will end with a work by contemporary minimalist composer, Philip Glass. Glass' work is filled with both haunting/hypnotic themes as well as excitingly quick paced bursts of energy. Invite your friends to join you for this wonderful concert.

The program is free and open to the public. Donations accepted at the door.

This series is made possible in large part through the generosity of the Janet S. and David B. Reed Fund.
