The Erie Saxaphone Quartet From standard composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach to more recent composers such as Krzysztof Penderecki, this program spans a broad range of styles and time periods. Other works on the program include a theme and variations by the Russian romantic composer Alexander Glasunow and a rollicking rondo by Hungarian composer Zdenek Lukas. The program will end with a work by contemporary minimalist composer, Philip Glass. Glass' work is filled with both haunting/hypnotic themes as well as excitingly quick paced bursts of energy.
