Dear Third Church Members,

I want to introduce myself and to thank you for allowing me to stay with you for three months, starting May 10th. My name is "Horse Chess-nut", and I am one of 158 horses in a herd known as "Horses on Parade". We are here to raise funds for Rochester charities, promote the arts, and raise civic awareness.

The Gianninys brought me to town, gave me a distinguished name, and provided me with a beautiful new chessboard blanket.

I am thrilled to be invited to stay on your East Avenue campus, where the clover is rumored to be plentiful. Please come and introduce yourselves. I am especially anxious to meet the children.

I anticipate being here until late August when the herd will gather for a parade on Main Street in downtown Rochester. On September 15th, I will go to the Convention Center for a rodeo and auction. I'm quite excited about seeing the rest of the herd, and hope someone will like me well enough to buy me. Thank you for your hospitality and for the chance to make some fodder for our community.
