New Member Orientation
2009-2010
Everyone is welcome to join Third Church! Our new members come from
many different backgrounds. Some have “grown up” in church
(perhaps it was a Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, Unitarian, United
Church of Christ, or church of another denomination). But for many people,
Third Church is their first church experience.
For anyone who might be inquiring about what
it means to be a church member at Third Church, we offer two sessions
of informal conversation with Third Church pastor John Wilkinson following
the 10:45am worship service:
New Member Gatherings
Saturday, February 27, 9:00:10:30am
Sunday, February 28, 8:30-10:00am
Curious about joining Third Church? We ask those who want to become
members to participate in a New Member Gathering where we will explore
our faith journey and discuss opportunities to participate in the life
and ministry of Third Presbyterian Church.
Our next gatherings will be held February 27 and 28. New members will
join at 10:00am on February 28 and will be introduced at the 10:45am

People who have been members of another church
join by letter of transfer or by reaffirmation of faith. For those
who have never been baptized, a special session is offered to prepare
for baptism and a profession of faith.
