Mardi Gras is a long-standing tradition at Third Church, celebrating the last day before the start of Lent.
Mardi Gras in French means "Fat Tuesday", a name which historically marks a last day when shortening could be used in cooking,
so people would use up their remaining shortening by feasting on pancakes.
This year, storyteller Jay Stetzer entertained children - young and old.
The Meigs Street Ramblers provided great music as usual,
and the kitchen staff made some great pancakes.
