Adult Faith Development

At Third Church, we believe Christian education takes place over a lifetime of opportunities. That's why the Adult Faith Development Committee is committed to helping adults grow in their faith and in their understanding of what it means to be a Christian in today's in today's world. We offer a variety of classes in:

      Biblical Studies - Old and New Testaments and their Interpretation.
      Christian Foundations - Theology and Church History.
      Church & Society - Social Issues, Ethics, and Mission.
      Worship, Music, & Arts - Sacred Works, Arts & Literature, Alternative Forms of Worship.
      Christian Living - Family Formation, Spiritual Development.

Behind the Headlines: Searching for the Root Causes of Crime in Rochester (1 of 2)

Starting on March 7th, 2010 Adult Faith Development Classes will be held at the Rochester Museum and Science Center in the Bausch Auditorium.

LENTEN LUNCHTIME SERIES: LENTEN VOICES

THURSDAYS, FEBRUARY 18 THROUGH APRIL 1 AT 12:00 NOON
RODERIC P. FROHMAN AND MARTHA C. LANGFORD LEADING DISCUSSIONS

Each week during Lent, in keeping with the theme of water, this class will read and review a significant sermon that focuses on water. Attendees are invited to bring their own lunch. Coffee will be provided. Copies of sermons will be available in advance in the church office.

CLASS LOCATION: The group will meet in Room 103 of the Education Building. Enter using the Arnold Park parking lot door (or use the elevator) until further notice.

CD copies of all Sunday Adult Faith Development classes are available at no charge for those who missed a class or who just want a recording of a memorable session. Patrick Flanigan

Patrick Flanigan spent eight years as the police reporter for the Rochester D&C. A native of Rochester, he holds a bachelor degree in journalism from the Univ. of Georgia. He now works for the New Media Editor for the City of Rochester and lives in the city's Upper Monroe Neighborhood with his wife and daughter.
