Adult Faith Development

At Third Church, we believe Christian education takes place over a lifetime of opportunities. That's why the Adult Faith Development Committee is committed to helping adults grow in their faith and in their understanding of what it means to be a Christian in today's in today's world. We offer a variety of classes in:

      Biblical Studies - Old and New Testaments and their Interpretation.
      Christian Foundations - Theology and Church History.
      Church & Society - Social Issues, Ethics, and Mission.
      Worship, Music, & Arts - Sacred Works, Arts & Literature, Alternative Forms of Worship.
      Christian Living - Family Formation, Spiritual Development.

Three Little Pieces: Marriage Equality, GENDA & Dignity

Western NY Field Organizer Todd Plank, of the Empire State Pride Agenda, will be providing an overview of three key pieces of LGBT specific legislation that the Empire State Pride Agenda is working to pass into law: Marriage Equality for Same-Sex Couples, the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA) and the Dignity for all Students Act.

The Rise and Fall of Ancient Israel and Judah: The Biblical Histories

Mark Brummitt, Assistant Professor of Old Tetament Studies at CRCDS, will examine the continuous narrative found in the books of Joshua through II Chronicles, involving the conquest of the land and rise and fall of the monarchy of David and Solomon and their descendants.

CD copies of all Sunday Adult Faith Development classes are available at no charge for those who missed a class or who just want a recording of a memorable session. Various Times & Places
The Twenties and Thirties at Third group (T3 for short) mixes Bible Study with social activities. Despite the name T3's is open to any participants who are in their twenties or thirties at heart! CALVIN GUILD

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN'S CIRCLES
