StaffChristina A. Lenti - clenti@thirdpresbyterian.org The primary responsibilities of the Associate Director of Music are with the music programs for children and youth. In this position, Chris directs three children's choirs, as well as five handbell groups. Chris also works closely with the Children’s Ministry Coordinator in all aspects of the children’s education program to be sure that the music program enhances and supports the efforts of Church School and the mid-week Qabats program. Chris directs a children’s musical every other year, and also takes the Junior Choir on a yearly summer choir retreat at Camp Cory. She enjoys working with the Meigs Street Ramblers, an intergenerational Dixieland band that plays at Mardi Gras and Rally Day. Chris also organizes and plans Monday Night Evening Prayer services, the Festival of the Nativity on Christmas Eve and other special musical presentations throughout the year. The primary goal of the children's and youth music program is to teach young musicians about their Christian faith using hymns and anthems. The program also helps them understand and appreciate the rewards of weekly participation in worship as they offer their talents to God and to the faith community.
