Youth Ministry Coordinator Jane Carden joined the staff of Third Presbyterian Church in October of 2007. Prior to joining Third Church, she was the director of Christian Education Ministries at New Life Presbyterian Church in the Upper Monroe neighborhood of Rochester and the Director of Christian Education at the First Presbyterian Church of Chili.

Currently Jane is as a presbytery representative for POINT, Presbyterians Organized In Nurture and Teaching, a network of educators who assist congregations in curriculum interpretation and selection. She also serves the presbytery on the New Church Development committee as well.Jane has a passion for youth. She’s attended two Presbyterian Youth Trienniums serving as the Presbytery’s Registrar for the 2007 PYT. She has been invited to lead groups of youth as small group leader at both Triennium and Montreat Youth Conferences.

Jane has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Alfred University and has worked in Christian Education and Youth Ministry for 16 years. In addition, she has participated in continuing education opportunities throughout her career through the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators (APCE) and is currently working towards her certification as a Christian Educator.

Jane and her husband Mark have two daughters, Amanda and Molly.
