| The parish program of the Deacons is one of Third
Presbyterian Church's vehicles for extending neighborhood-based
congregational care. Each household is assigned to a local
'parish' and each parish is assigned a deacon. The deacon may be
contacted regarding any needs or concerns of
individual members of the parish. The deacon is ready and willing to
extend a helping hand, a listening ear or function as a liaison with
the
Third Church staff. Of course you may always contact a clergy staff
member directly, if you prefer. Parishes provide help with Sunday
coffee hours, may gather socially, and may support each other with
meals or transportation. The
